West Sacramento Man, 23, Arrested After Fatal DUI Crash On I-5 - CBS Local
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A West Sacramento man has been arrested after a suspected DUI crash on Interstate 5 killed one of his passengers early Saturday morning. According to California Highway Patrol, a 2003 GMC Sonoma being driven by West Sacramento resident Nicholas Balestra rear-ended a car stopped on the right shoulder of the freeway. One of the Sonoma’s passengers, 21-year-old Sacramento resident Jesus Castillo, was killed in the crash. The other passenger, 22-year-old Sacramento resident Nathaniel Maldonado, is expected to be OK. CHP says Balestra has been arrested after investigators found he was driving under the influence.
