Short throw shifter kit for OE replacement on 5 speed manual trans in:
- 1996-2003 Chevrolet S-10 - 2.2L 4 cyl only
- 1996-2003 GMC Sonoma - 2.2L 4 cyl only
- 1996-2000 Isuzu Hombre - 2.2L 4 cyl only
ONLY FITS NV1500 manual trans specific to these 4 cyl models - GM RPO MW2
- Does NOT FIT V6, older models, or any other model
- Base configured for transmission receptacle height of 5/8" as original to these models
- Replaces GM # 12549394 ; 20523
- IF your transmission has been serviced, it MAY REQUIRE A DIFFERENT BASE. If you install the wrong one it will not work properly and could cause damage. To confirm height, remove shifter base and measure transmission as shown in last pic
- Knob height ~ same as stock (stick #8009 on 3" fulcrum)

Kit includes a Hurst chrome stick & classic knob, Core Shifters base w/ pre-installed OE lower pivot cup, mounting hardware, dust cover boot, floor boot adapter grommet, and installation instructions. This kit includes a boot grommet to adapt the stock console boot; no aftermarket boot necessary or recommended however a Hurst Super Boot is optional (old separately). Bulk parts; no retail pkg. Throw is reduced by ~ 30%. Comparable to discontinued Hurst # 3910112
The base is built by Core Shifters using proven Hurst Billet Plus components inside a custom housing:
- Forged heat-treated billet steel gear selector stub
- Hardened steel cross-pin & stainless steel fulcrum pivot ring
- Self-centering cross-gate bias springs with heat treated spring seats
- Glass-reinforced polyamide fulcrum socket with steel wear clips
- Rubber oil control seal with steel retaining ring
