“I started doing this so I could solely express myself,” Simonson said. Simonson said one of his biggest musical influences is Flying Lotus. At that time, he went by the name Ejecta, but, according to Simonson, Ejecta’s music won’t be making a comeback. The amount of time it takes for Simonson to complete a song varies, he said. “With a song, it can take anywhere from one session of three hours to long, drawn-out sessions over a few weeks, sometimes months,” he explained. Evo Auxilium has over 1,800 followers on Soundcloud, a website that Simonson uses to upload his music. “I have a decent following on Soundcloud but I want to spread it to the whole world,” Simonson said. When asked how he amassed that amount of listeners, he said, “Consistently making stuff and spreading it to every possible facet on the internet. “Some people can’t handle the more abstract, broken beat stuff that I do,” he said.
