The 2016 Chevy Colorado will go on-sale later this year with a 2. 8-liter turbo-diesel engine. Check out this TFLtruck prototype hunting video of the 2016 Chevy Colorado turbo-diesel from May 2014. I highly doubt the Amarok would ever be priced below its competitors. VW’s historically are higher priced, because they are generally nicer vehicles. The plan was to greatly cheapen the cars and sell on price, but this alienated most of the core VW crowd. VW has a US plant – why not expand it to build the Amarok here. If you could buy this truck, with the build quality and fit and finish of the current Golf…and have the option of the 2. 0 TDI, the 2. 0 TSI, and the 3. 6L VR6…plus 4×4 and manual shift…I’d be one of the first in line to get it.
