In the back seat of a GMC pickup truck along U. S. Highway 93 near Bell Crossing. About 20 minutes earlier, Cheyenne’s mother, Martha Jones, felt steady contractions five minutes apart. She woke her husband Levi, mother-in-law Bonnie Jones and sister-in-law Jessica Burhenn, a former EMT who happened to be visiting from South Dakota. “I woke Mom (Martha’s mother-in-law) and said, ‘If we are going to go we have to go now, or she is going to have this baby in the car,’ ” said Burhenn. “Mom said, ‘She is not going to have the baby in the car,’ because she wasn’t hearing any screaming or crying and didn’t realize she was in hard labor. “I was just thinking, I hope there are no deer out tonight,” said Levi. “About five minutes down the road, she said, ‘The head’s coming,’ ” said Jessica. “I was sitting in the back seat with her in the bench seat of the GMC.
