Chevy offers 2 special editions for '16 Colorado - The Detroit News

General Motors Co. ’s Chevrolet brand said Monday it will offer two special edition 2016 Chevrolet Colorado pickups: the blacked out Midnight and Z71 Trail Boss all-terrain variant. “These are aggressive editions of one of the country’s hottest-selling trucks, demonstrating the personalization that’s possible with Chevrolet accessories, whether it’s for the street, trail or both,” said Tony Johnson, director of truck strategy... The automaker began selling the new Colorado and GMC Canyon pickups in fall 2014. The Colorado Midnight, similar to the Silverado Midnight edition, comes in all black, including the grille, bowtie emblem and 18-inch aluminum wheels. The Z71 Trail Boss includes the Z71 off-road truck suspension package, more aggressive tires, new sport bar with LED trail lighting, black 17-inch aluminum wheels, fender flares, black bowtie grille and spray-on bedliner. Both the Midnight and Z71 Trail Boss Colorado will be available with extended or crew cabs, in two-wheel or four-wheel drive and with the 2. 5-liter, four-cylinder, 3. 6-liter V-6 or the new 2. 8-liter Duramax turbo-diesel engine. The Midnight Colorado is available on LT trimmed trucks, while the Trail Boss is available on Z71s. Chevy has not announced pricing for either special edition. Source: www.detroitnews.com
