GM, Ford, FCA Post Sales Gains in July 2015 - Motor Trend
After recently reporting a net profit of $1. 9 billion in the second quarter of 2015 , Ford builds on the good news with a strong July. The Lincoln brand was up 21. 3 percent with 9,536 total units sold thanks to strong performances across the board except for the MKZ. The Ford brand reaped in big sales from most of its SUVs and crossovers including the Explorer. The tiny crossover posted the biggest sales increase in GM’s portfolio for the month of July, followed by the Cadillac SRX (46. 8 percent increase, 6,753 units sold). The Encore even outsold its cheaper sibling, the Chevrolet Trax, which posted a sales tally of 6,111 units last month. Good job GM on pushing those a little less capable trucks but still good enough for most duties. Ford 1 brand, 1 network, 1 truck, 1 strategy. Source: wot.motortrend.com
