LOS ANGELES • The Cardinals’ staff earned run average was 2. 62 entering Friday night’s game with the Los Angeles Dodgers. “It’s a good feeling that they’re doing good,” said catcher Yadier Molina. “We have to keep the same concentration that we have so far and try to finish it off good, too. Count perennial Gold Glover Molina among the few, perhaps, who is not concerned as to whether young guns Michael Wacha and Carlos Martinez will hold up for the season. “I never had a doubt about them,” Molina said Friday. “I always knew the talent they had and always knew they could pitch at this level. Though nearly everyone lavishes praise on Molina for what has happened, Molina, asked the level he thought a catcher deserved, replied, “None. They do it all,” said Molina. “Obviously, we’ve got good communication. To a man, the pitchers say they trust Molina implicitly and throw whatever he puts down. “I’m just doing my job,” Molina said. Molina admitted that pitchers rarely shake him off but said that’s because of the pregame meetings. “We’ve got a pretty good idea what we’re going to do before the game and there’s no reason to shake it up,” said Molina.
