2017 Chevrolet Silverado And GMC Sierra HD Spied Breathing Easy - GM Authority (blog)
Just yesterday we were served a new round of spy shots featuring the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado HD and it’s more luxurious 2017 GMC Sierra HD cousin. The official SEMA page has posted official spy shots from KGP Photography , providing a clear look at what’s going on up front. As we’ve seen in a handful of other 2017 Silverado and Sierra HD spy shots, a new, function hood air intake will be part of the Duramax formula this time around. 6-liter Duramax from GM, in comparison, produces 397 hp and 760 lb-ft. In conjunction with the new air intake, modified turbos and new engine-management software should put the Silverado/Sierra twins on par, if not greater, than the F-150 in terms of power. From the spy shots, we can see the 2017 Silverado HD receives diamond-shaped grille insert, while the 2017 Sierra HD goes with a circular-mesh pattern. Both trucks’ front ends were done up with camouflage, but the slits on the hood are a dead giveaway for the new hood air intake. I have seen time, and time again, poorly written articles, with incorrect information and poor grammar choices. The current Chevy HD has the diamond grill inserts (post 08/14 or 2015. 5). The Denali also currently has the oval mesh grill. Source: gmauthority.com
