Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station detectives are continuing to investigate a series of robberies from this past week and are asking the public’s help in locating a suspect. A couple was lost in Towsley Canyon Sunday evening, according to Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station officials. Only 20,000 crime victims in Los Angeles County received services last year, while the number of violent crime victims alone exceeded 45,000, according to a report by District Attorney officials. Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station leaders are meeting with the Santa Clarita Valley community for the event, “Coffee with the Captain. Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s deputies and other emergency officials responded to a fatal vehicle versus pedestrian collision in Canyon Country early Thursday morning. A deputy from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station hiked several miles in the dark and heat Tuesday night to rescue a child stuck on a ledge along Haskell Canyon Trail in Saugus. A robbery occurred near the 16400 block of Delone St. , Canyon Country. The victim’s estranged wife forced entry into the victim’s residence.
