Lafayette police investigating rash of Ford truck thefts - The Advocate
The trucks — seven Ford F-250s and one Ford F-350 — were stolen from Saturday to Monday from commercial parking lots, apartment complexes and at least one private home, according to addresses listed in a news release from the Lafayette Police... Once the trucks were posted to Craigslist, the thieves asked potential buyers to meet them at area apartment complexes, where they presented fraudulent papers to conduct the transaction, police said.
