1976-1979 Ford Short Bed Flareside
Oak Bed Wood
Grooved, sanded, cut-to-size and ready-to-finish. Our show quality oak is kiln-dried with a thickness of 3/4". This wood set includes a 7/8 inch groove at the tailgate end of wood for placement of the bed wood sill. Mounting holes need to be drilled by customer before installation. This set include 7 boards 78 1/2" long. The outside boards include the wheel well cut out.
Polished Stainless Bed Strips
Polished bed strips are very shiny, giving them a "chrome" look. Bed strips are punched with square holes according to the original pattern. Each strip is 1 1/2" wide X 78 1/2" long and 18 gage thickness. Stainless steel is type 430, bright and slightly magnetic. This set includes 6 bed strips.
Polished Stainless Complete Hardware Kit
Hardware kit includes all the bolts, nuts, washers and lockwashers to install the bed wood, bed strips and sides. The bed strip and bed side bolts in this kit are carriage bolts, which means they have a smooth, rounded head and a square shoulder to fit into a square hole. The bed-to-frame bolts have oval head with a phillips drive. Polished bolt kits are very shiny, giving them a "chrome" look.
