The American International FWH694 amplifier retention car stereo wiring harness plugs into your factory wiring for the installation of an aftermarket radio. This harness is used for the retention of the factory integrated amplifier and is EIA color coded to match most aftermarket radios.
Please verify your vehicle's original sound system specifications before purchasing your harness. We have information in the vehicle Fitment area (below) and in the vehicle Compatibility area (above — see the notes column on the left) that will show exclusions and/or exceptions to the stated vehicles.
General Information
Note:
For Use On "Factory Amplified" "Audiophile" and "Shaker" Sound Systems.
This harness is level matched to the factory amplifier with no adjustments required allowing simple installation of any aftermarket head unit.
Illumination Note:
If Your Radio Does Not Contain A "Dimmer" or "Illumination" Wire, Then The Orange "Illumination / Dimmer" Wire In This Harness Will Not Be Used.
Some functions like Steering Wheel Controls, speed sense, ext. may not be supported.
