I hoped the reason was we could have that experience and it could be a highlight of both of our lives together and I could win. But I thought, if not, she was going to really be a good shoulder to cry on if I didn’t do well. Either way, I was really grateful she was there. And I’m so grateful that it was meant for me. I’m grateful it all worked out. Jordan, the first Miss Oklahoma USA to be named Miss USA, said she didn’t sleep much the night before the pageant because she was so excited. She said she slept maybe an hour the night after she won. She was whisked to New York (that’s where she’ll live during her reign) immediately afterward to begin her duties and has been on an introductory press tour. You get prepared mentally to change your entire life and move to New York overnight, and that’s a lot, that it could happen or not happen. Jordan said family members are looking forward to visiting her in New York and seeing her new apartment. Said Jordan: “My stuff is semi-organized in my closet at home, and my mom and dad are going to, at some point, FaceTime me. Source: www.tulsaworld.com
