Chain Snatcher: Police are searching for a man who robbed an elderly lady Sunday in the 400 block of Hewitt Street. Police say the suspect rode a bicycle past an 81-year-old woman and snatched three necklaces from her neck. Anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity is asked to contact Detective Hollo at 609-989-3753. Tussle over Shotgun: Tommy Williams, 27, was arrested Saturday morning after he allegedly threatened another man with a shotgun. Police say officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Liberty Street around 12:15 a. m. after receiving a call about a man with a shotgun. When police arrived on-scene, they spoke to a 65-year-old man who said Williams walked into the apartment building and started yelling and screaming in the hallway. The elderly man then approached Williams about his behavior, police say, and Williams removed a shotgun from a case he was carrying and pointed it at the victim. The two then struggled over the shotgun, police say, and another person eventually joined the tussle after it spilled into the elderly man’s home. Police say Williams suffered a laceration to his forehead during the struggle, so he was treated at the hospital. Source: www.trentonian.com
