Concerts potentially coming to Palace balcony - Daily Republic
The series, entitled Downtown Thirstday, will utilize the new Corn Palace balcony as a stage for local, family friendly musicians. While it is an all-ages event, Downtown Thirstday gets its name because attendees will be able to purchase beer and wine from the Scoreboard Pub and Grille, located directly next to the Corn Palace. If the application for the event is approved by both the City Council and the Department of Public Safety, it will cause Main Street to close from Sixth Avenue to Seventh Avenue. People will be able to bring beer or wine purchased at the Scoreboard out onto the blocked-off section, in front of the Corn Palace, to watch the performance. Source: www.mitchellrepublic.com
