Work Out West hosting tryout. Work Out West Volleyball Academy is hosting an open tryout from 11 a. m. to 1 p. m. Aug. The tryout takes place in the back building at 5699-5701 W. 20th St. in Greeley. Baseball gear giveaway set for Aug. The Give Gear Get Gear program, started by Roosevelt baseball player Michael Romanowski, will host a baseball gear giveaway from 8 a. m. -2 p. m. Aug. Roche Memorial Baseball Training Facility, 6503 W. 20th St. in Greeley. The giveaway takes place on the same day as tryouts for the P. B. Roche Fall Baseball League, but equipment is available to anyone, not just those trying out. To donate gear for the giveaway or for more information about the event, contact Romanowski at (970) 978-5764. Rough Riders hosting youth football camp. The Roosevelt football team is hosting its Rough Rider Kids Camp for ages 6-14 from Aug. Participants will learn training for all football positions, football techniques, speed/agility training and 1-on-1 and 7-on-7 drills. The cost of the camp is $40, which includes Rough Riders gear.
