POSSESSION OF HEROIN WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE, 1:50 p. m. March 24. Officer Jennifer Petruzziello stopped a 2013 Honda Civic driven by Maxine Schenkel, 24, of Phillipsburg, on Route 31 North near Route 513 for failing to keep right. Petruzziello saw that Schenkel was acting overly nervous and found that she had an opened container of alcohol in the vehicle, police said. Schenkel was charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of heroin, failure to make lawful disposition of controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a motor vehicle while in possession... When she was unable to post the $15,000 bail, Schenkel was sent to the Hunterdon County Jail where she was found to be in possession of 14 more bags of heroin, police said.
