2015 Ford F-250 Super Duty - About - News & Issues
Ford has taken a break from upping the F-250 Super Duty’s towing and hauling specs, a respectable 16,800 lbs. 7-liter V8, powering workhorses all the way up to the F-750 medium duty truck, is now made of compacted graphite iron to save weight over a conventional cast iron engine. The 2015 Ford F-250 Super Duty continues to be offered in 3 body styles: regular cab, extended cab (SuperCab) and crew cab. In SuperCab models the rear passengers have rear-hinged doors, while crew cab trucks have forward-hinged doors for front and rear passengers. Regular cab models come exclusively with the long bed (8 feet), while every other model comes with either the standard (6. 8-foot) or long bed. Turning the tires on the 2015 Ford F-250 Super Duty is a 6. 2-liter V8 that churns out 385 hp and 405 lb. -ft. of torque. Highlighted above, the optional diesel 6. 7-liter V8 is revamped to now see 440 hp and 860 lb. -ft. of torque, up from last year’s 400 hp and 800 lb. -ft. of torque. EPA fuel economy estimates are not available for either engine, but Ford claims that the redesigned 6. 7-liter diesel should deliver noticeably improved fuel economy. Source: trucks.about.com
