Saugerties Man Flees from Police in Stolen Vehicle - Hudson Valley News Network

Kingston, NY – The Ulster Police Department reports the arrest of Christopher P. Rega, 24, of Saugerties, on August 11th, 2015 for Grand Larceny, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property and Petit Larceny. According to police, the arrest was the result of an investigation into shoplifting complaint that police responded to on August 8th, 2015 at about 8:15pm at Kohl’s Department Store which involved multiple suspects. While taking them into custody, Rega, a passenger in the vehicle, fled on foot and subsequently stole a 2001 Ford F-350 pickup truck from the Dena Marie Plaza on Miron Lane. Rega was located by the New Paltz Police Department, after county wide BOLO (be on the lookout) was issued. On August 11, 2015 Rega was charged by the Ulster Police and arraigned before Town of Ulster Town Justice Marsha Weiss and returned back to the Ulster County Jail on bail set by New Paltz Court.
