Macho power found in new Dodge Charger R/T Scat Pack - Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
The new Dodge Charger R/T Scat Pack packs plenty of power. The R/T with the Scat Pack package starts at $39,995. The test car was a beautiful bright metallic blue that matches the old Charger blue from the early 1970s. That was another era. A base rear-drive Charger SE starts at $28,990 and packs a 3. 6-liter V6 that delivers a pretty hefty 292 horsepower. The base R/T, with a 5. 7-liter V8 packing 370 horsepower, lists at $33,990. There's also the Scat Pack edition with its bumblebee 1970s logo on the grille and embroidered on the front seatbacks. I'd love to drive the Scat Pack version without all the electronic gadgets, but the test car added numerous to push the price to $46,765. You'll likely squeal the tires after you put this car into gear. The Charger weighs 4,400 pounds, but it'll rip up to highway speeds in a short haul.
