VANCEBURG | A Lewis County woman remains in intensive care after an accident resulted in her being airlifted from the scene. According to Lewis County Deputy Matt Ross, 43-year-old Cynthia Shepherd of Black Oak, remains in the intensive care unit at Cabell-Huntington Hospital in Huntington, W. Va. , after sustaining injuries from a Friday afternoon accident. Ross said around 3:45 p. m. , Shepherd was operating a 2000 Ford F-250 pickup along Kentucky 8 when her rear bumper came into contact with a 2006 GMC pickup operated by 24-year-old Henry Stafford, also of Black Oak, who was backing onto the...
