When LaGrange police arrived at the scene around 9 p. m. Sunday they found the glass to the front door shattered and a brick sitting on the front porch next to the door. The set, which she stated consisted of a bass drum, snare drum, two small tenor drums and two large cymbals, was valued at $596. Police were investigating. One driver apparently decided he didn’t want to be pulled over by police, so he kept going before finally ditching his car Saturday night. A LaGrange officer was patrolling in the area of Glenn Robertson and Colquitt streets around 8:45 p. m. and reported encountering a 2005 red Ford F-250 playing loud music. The officer pulled the truck over on Colquitt near Miami streets. The driver pulled over and cut the ignition off, but the officer said as soon as he approached the vehicle, the driver cranked up and quickly drove away. The officer said he followed the truck at a safe speed to a residence in the 900 block of Motley Street, where he found the vehicle parked in the back yard. A passenger inside a car sitting the wrong way on Mulberry Street was arrested, not for a traffic violation but on a marijuana possession charge. LaGrange officers reported seeing the Ford Expedition take off the wrong way down the one-way street and stopped it Saturday night around 9:30 on Gorham and Mulberry streets. Source: lagrangenews.com
