MADISON COUNTY • A wrong-way driver was killed late Monday night in a head-on crash in Madison County, police say. , was the driver of a 1993 Ford Ranger that was heading north in the southbound lanes of Illinois 255 at New Poag Road about 10:20 p. m. , authorities said. Davis' pickup collided with a southbound 2005 Cadillac STS, police said. The pickup burst into flames after the collision, prompting Illinois state troopers to use a squad car to push the Cadillac away from the burning Ford Ranger, police said.
