Deputies: Thieves forgot to raise camper's jacks - Anderson Independent Mail

Three people have been charged with stealing a camper from Parkway Campers on S. C. 11 and trying to drive it away with the camper’s jacks still down. The trailer was found after a stolen 1996 Ford Ranger, used to take it, broke down on the side of the highway. Pulliam was arrested after a traffic stop on S. C. 11. The Ford Ranger was stolen in Greenville County and the license plate belonged to a different truck. The Starcraft camper was valued at $11,000. Ables was charged with grand larceny of the camper, escape, resisting arrest, receiving stolen goods for alleged possession of the license plate and possession of a stolen Ford Ranger. He was also charged with three counts of malicious injury to personal property for allegedly taking a radio out of the truck, damaging the camper during the getaway and damaging the camper store’s gate by ramming it with the truck. McKinney was charged with grand larceny of the camper and possession of a stolen truck. Pulliam was charged with driving under a suspended license and accessory after the fact to a felony for allegedly using his car to help McKinney and Ables and arranging to pick them up after the theft.
