HINTON, Iowa | The Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office reported a male was killed Friday morning after an all-terrain vehicle struck a tree north of Sioux City. A sheriff’s office press release said the incident occurred about 7 a. m. in rural Plymouth County, at 32954 Fox Ave. He was taken to Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars, where the Plymouth County Medical Examiner ruled the death resulted from head trauma. LE MARS, Iowa | A Le Mars teenager and his passenger were injured Thursday when the teen lost control of the pickup truck he was driving and it rolled into a ditch, officials said. Tyler Kennett, 17, was eastbound on 160th Street when he made a right turn onto Marble Avenue, losing control of the 1995 Ford Ranger, a release from the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office said. Kennett was flown by helicopter to Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City with what were believed to be serious injuries, the release said.
