The Putnam County Sheriffs Department reports a fatal motor vehicle accident occurred at approximately 9:36 a. m. today in the parking lot of the Putnam County Savings Bank located at Route 6 and Drewville Road. An investigation by Sheriff’s Deputies revealed that Barbara Fetzer, 86, of Putnam Lake was walking across the bank parking lot when Thomas Hunt, 66, of Southeast backed out of a parking space and struck the elderly woman and knocked her to the... Hunt, was operating a 2008 Ford Ranger 4x4 pickup truck. Hunt was transported to Putnam Hospital Center for observation and the investigation into the accident continues. Source: news.hamlethub.com
