Geezers still going strong - Kansas.com
This was the ninth year of the invitation-only event started by Roy Merritt back in 2006 as a get-together of some of his car buddies in and around his garage in east Wichita. The Geezer Gathering quickly outgrew the available space and Merritt agreed to move it into the heart of Wichita, where it now routinely fills the available space. The food is excellent, prepared by fellow Geezers, and the only thing that draws a crowd quicker is when a fuel dragster parked outside the main garage/dining hall is fired up every hour or so.
