Old Man Truck Alert! You won’t find a Crew Cab Short Bed 4x4 with less rust in the North East!
Up for auction is my 1997 Ford F-250 HD XLT Crew Cab Short Bed 4x4 with Big Block 460 engine and automatic transmission. This truck came from Montana and is 99% rust free! First and foremost, I am considering this a “project truck” so please read full description below:
This truck has a salvage history as it was in an accident in 2019. The truck currently resides in Connecticut but is currently registered in Vermont. Vermont does not title vehicles over 15 years old so please consider the requirements of your state before bidding. A current VT registration and bill of sale will be provided
The repair required replacement of the following: Front bumper, headlight panel, driver’s side headlight, driver’s side fender, driver’s side door, rock guard under the lights, hood, steering gear box, and tie rods. There was no major damage to the cab or frame, only the radiator support which I straightened. The door VIN tag pictured is currently attached to the original door, and will be included. I can provide a copy of the insurance adjuster’s report and pictures before the repair by request.

It is begging to be replaced with a Dana 60 solid axle which is a sensible upgrade even if not in need of replacement.
Other than noted above, the paint really shines and presents well for the age. There are a few blemishes here and there but it is above average compared to similar trucks. The windshield is cracked and should be replaced. The hood has a small rust bubble on the front edge, and the hood underside is rusty. There is a large...
