The 2015 Ford F150 is offered with four engines, a base 3. 5L V6, a 2. 7L EcoBoost V6, a 5. 0L V8 and a 3. 5L EcoBoost V6 – all of which come with a standard 6-speed automatic transmission and the buyer’s choice of either rear wheel drive or four... The most efficient 2015 Ford F150 drivetrain is the 2. 7L EcoBoost V6 with rear wheel drive, which delivers fuel economy figures of 19mpg in the city, 26mpg on the highway and 22mpg combined. Those are the best fuel economy figures among gas-powered half ton pickups, beating the Ram 1500 with the 3. 6L V6 (17 city, 25 highway, 20 combined) and the Silverado 1500 with the 4. 3L V6 (18 city, 24 highway, 20 combined) across the board.
