“I had been brainstorming a mobile bar idea for a couple of years and wanted to build something that could serve the needs of any event from a backyard barbecue to an upscale wedding,” Kyle Swenson said. Inspired by the recent popularity of food trucks, Swenson decided to tap into his years of experience bartending and managing bars in Telluride, including the Llama and the Roma, to create a mobile bar. “We knew we wanted something different, so we were searching around and found this guy that was building these trucks out in Charleston, South Carolina, so I went and met with him and gave him the exact specs of what I wanted: where I wanted the... Swenson expected the truck in January, which would have allowed him to market the new business prior to Telluride’s summer events season, but the late arrival pushed that back. Instead, he’s spent the summer quietly tending bar at a few events, including a 200-person wedding at Sunnyside Ranch in June, and garnering attention for his sleek truck. “That first event that I did in June, the next day I had three or four event planners call me” and inquire about working with the WolfPig, Swenson said.
