BSI 1956 X-100 Boasts Classic Ford F-Series Looks, Coyote V-8 Power - Motor Trend
“When most people think about classic trucks, what comes to mind is usually the 1956 F-100, it’s one of the most timeless designs of all time,” said Bodie Stroud, in a release. “I thought, wouldn’t it be cool if someone put that truck back into production, preserving the truck’s basic look, but with modern suspension, a brand new Ford Racing motor and transmission, and the interior and gauges from a late-model F-150.... ” Bodie Stroud, founder of BSI, isn’t new to the Ford F-100 having built several custom award-winning pickups in the past. Starting from a rust-free body, the BSI 1956 X-100 pickup features a chopped hood and a body that's been extended to meet the running boards. The custom chassis, built by BSI, features a boxed frame, while the custom center section has an integrated driveshaft loop. BSI also designed the independent front suspension including the control arms and EZ-Aline adjusters, which allows for caster and camber adjustment by changing the length of the control arms. Engine options include a naturally aspirated 412-hp 5. 0-liter Coyote V-8 or a 630-hp supercharged 5. 0-liter Coyote Aluminator V-8 from Ford Racing.
