Justin volunteered to drive, though it wasn’t advised he do so. His truck is a 1997 Ford F350, with a LOT of miles and age. The boys started out on Friday with a stash of cash just in case the truck broke down. As parents, we were worried for their safety and also making certain that they can either finish the trip or abort mission and figure out a Plan B. By the grace of God, the boys run into you, a guardian angel, hundreds of miles away. Thank you Officer Chad for being the boys’ guardian angel. We will never be able to repay you, nor will you know what it meant to us. We understand all too well that your job is a very thankless job. More times than not, we are certain that your kindness is overlooked and taken for granted. The boys truly couldn’t have done this without you and you have become a lasting part of their memory.
