The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office (ECSO) is investigating a shooting which took place Monday, October 27, in the Sellersville community of Escambia County, leaving one man dead. According to a press release from the ECSO, “At 9:52 am, the Alabama Escambia County Sheriff’s Office received a call to 6228 Jimmie Sellers Road, which is located in the Sellersville community, that a person had been shot. A warrant for murder has been issued for Mr. Phillips’ son-in-law, 46 year old Brett Richard Yeiter. Yeiter was last seen driving away from the area in a white 1995 model Ford F150 pickup truck, Eddie Bauer Edition, white on top and gold on the bottom. A search warrant was served on Mr. Yeiter’s residence in Florida by Alabama ECSO deputies and Santa Rosa County deputies shortly after the shooting.
