Search continues in Montgomery Co. for Elba Work Center escapee - WSFA

There have been no publicized tips indicating where Dennis James Calaway, Jr. and Deandro Antonio Tompkins went, but multiple tips have come in regarding Kevin Randolph Campbell. Tompkins escaped on Saturday and Calaway escaped Monday. Wednesday the search focused on an area of Montgomery County near Highway 331. Late in the day investigators put out a BOLO on a pickup truck that may have been stolen by the fugitive. The blue 2002 Ford F-150 extended cab pickup truck has Alabama license plates 3AJ7597 and was taken from a home on Highway 331 South in Montgomery County Wednesday afternoon. Investigators believe Campbell may have used the truck to flee the Montgomery County area. The search started on foot Tuesday after two Alabama Law Enforcement Officials were able to positively identify Campbell. Crenshaw County Sheriff Mickey Powell said Campbell was last positively seen in the woods along Highway 331 near Highland Home Tuesday. The sheriff said he stole a Yahama Grizzly 660 Limited Edition four-wheeler Tuesday to use as transportation and led officials on a high speed chase reaching speeds of approximately 65 miles an hour.
