Fourteen cars from Landis’ personal collection will be among an expected 1,000 autos to hit the block July 24 to 26, at Mecum Auctions’ first-ever Harrisburg sale. Landis recently marked both his 80th birthday and 50th anniversary at the helm of Garden Spot Equipment Auction Inc. Growing up as an East Petersburg "farm boy" who attended auctions with his parents, Landis never dreamed of one day building a valuable car collection of his own.
