At about 11 a. m. July 30 a Taylor man told an officer that within the previous hour a large red leaf blower had been stolen from a work trailer parked at the Charles E. Raines Company parking lot, 17700 Fort St. The victim said workers were doing... The man who reported the crime said he noticed a red Ford F250 traveling near the trailer at an unusually slow speed. An officer conducted the stop after the driver failed to use a turn signal. During the stop, the driver informed the officer his auto insurance lapsed about three months earlier. The officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside the car. The driver said he and his passenger had smoked marijuana earlier in the night, but there was none inside the vehicle. At that time, the passenger told the officer he had a medical marijuana card, which he showed the officer, as well as a small amount of marijuana.
