Tune can be used prior to knocking as preventative which will save you thousands if installed prior to part failure.
Yes, the vehicle will run once installed but It will not run well for long. Eventually it will start to miss and lose power along with the check engine lightcoming on, bad fuel milage, and in some cases cause electric damage from trying to activate the variable valve timing.We are able to disable the variable valve cam shafts option in your oem computer/ecu/ecm/pcm so that your vehicle doesn't go through spark plugs, run bad, have power loss, or have check engine lights due to bank 1/2 over advancement after installing your phaser lockouts. Kits that come with a programmer are only able to disable this functionand will only work on one vehicle. They also run you far more than this tune does. . When we disable your VVT option in your oem ecu we adjust the fuel and spark tables to help with power lose from locking the phasers in full advance.
We can also modify other options at $10 per option.
