Deputies: Ex-employee fires shots inside Mulberry facility, injures 2 - Bay News 9

Polk County deputies need help finding a shooting suspect on the run. Deputies said Danny Coleman Thompson Jr. , 39, is wanted for the shooting of two people in Mulberry Thursday. According to the Polk County Sheriff's Office, the shooting occurred around 2:22 p. m. at 2360 Old Highway 60. Deputies said Thompson, who is an ex-employee fired 15 months ago, arrived at the MES-GCI Construction facility and started firing at... Officials said Thompson came to the facility looking for his former boss. "He was told that Chad was at lunch, so Danny got in his truck and left," said Steve Lester, Polk County Sheriff's Office. "Approximately 2:20 [p. m. ], that same day today, Chad came back from lunch and noticed [Thompson] behind him in the truck. "At first, we didn't think too much about it, until the lady next door came running over and said that somebody was shooting in the back," Herstine said. He was last seen wearing a cap, t-shirt and blue jeans. Deputies believe he is driving a 2006 Ford F-150 Super Crew Cab with Florida tag 212-6PD.
