This is exactly why Bodie Stroud created the BSI X-100. Using the body from a clean 1956 Ford F-100, his restoration shop then builds a completely new vehicle around it. First of all, the boxed chassis is created from scratch. Then, nearly every body panel is modified: chopped hood, larger rear window, tubbed bed, chromed bumpers, larger doorsills… The truck’s antiquated suspension has been thrown away, replaced by a four-link fully-adjustable suspension. The whole truck’s interior is replaced by one from a new F-150. the dashboard has been plucked from a King Ranch. the base engine is Ford’s own Coyote V8 (normally found in the Mustang GT), developing 412 horsepower, but you can also outfit your truck with a 6-litre V8 –dubbed the Aluminator– with a supercharger bolted onto it.
