Ford F-150 Truck FX Package - 2012 Updates The FX package has been popular for a number of years. For 2012, the F-150 FX goes darker, with matte black body decals, flat-black 20-inch alloy wheels, black badges with red lettering, a black grille, and black-out headlights and taillights. FX's interior is upgraded with black leather seat surfaces trimmed with red perforations and red piping. The FX truck's dash and interior are finished with a combination of black paint, brushed aluminum and satin finishes. F-150's Drivetrain F-150 Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum 4WD pickup trucks are now equipped with an automatic transfer case. You can still select 4WD high or 4WD lo, but the dial has an automatic position, too. If that happens, power is automatically transferred to the front wheels -- you don't have to reach for the dash knob at a time when you really need both hands on the wheel. The electric shift version of the model's transfer case, which is now standard on the rest of the F-150 line-up, has a dash control knob where you can select 2WD high, 4WD high or 4WD lo.
