Defense shows up for DWU in spring football game - Daily Republic

The rain made the ball slip out of offensive player's hands various times. "We knew we were going to face adversity right away with the conditions," DWU head coach Ross Cimpl said. As a head coach, you want your defense to go out there and create turnovers. But at the same time, you don't want the offense to turn the ball over. "This was probably our best spring we've ever had," Cimpl said. "We've learned a lot offensively with a new offense coming in. There's five-wide (receivers) on a couple plays, there's also sets with a tight end, a fullback and a tailback. Being able to do multiple things offensively is huge. I'm really please with the base that we've set. Source: www.mitchellrepublic.com
