Single-car accident claims life of Beech Grove man - messenger-inquirer
A McLean County man was killed near Beech Grove on Sunday when the pickup truck he was driving left the road and struck an embankment. Fulkerson, 43, of Beech Grove, was driving a 1998 Ford pickup truck on Comer-Elba Road near Beech Grove Sunday morning when, for unknown reasons, the truck veered off the roadway and came to an abrupt stop in the roadside embankment. the accident at 11:20 a. m. Ballard said his investigation is ongoing, but from what he was able to determine from the scene, it appeared that Fulkerson was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident. He was ejected from the truck through the front windshield, Ballard said. Details of the accident were not made available until Monday afternoon because Ballard said authorities were contacting next-of-kin. Threats of harming another person will not be tolerated.
