Car crash leaves 1 dead, 4 hospitalized - OurQuadCities
A 2000 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Jonathan Buell, 38, of Prophetstown was traveling southbound on Rt. 78 and crossed the centerline into the northbound lane. His vehicle sideswiped a northbound 2014 Ford Fusion driven by Diane Dornbush, 46, of Albany. The Pontiac Grand Am continued southbound in the northbound lane and struck a northbound 1992 Ford F-150 driven by Harold Cook, 77, of Prophetstown. Cook was pronounced dead on the scene by the Whiteside County Coroner. Cook's passenger, 80-year-old Wendell Cook of Prophetstown was transported to Morrison Community Hospital for injuries. Buell's passengers: Sierra Burress, 19, of Prophetstown and Brett Frain, 20, of Prophetstown were both transported to CGH Medical Center for injuries. Source: www.ourquadcities.com
