Area residents injured in crashes - Ozark County Times

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report filed by Trooper J. M. Kenyon, who was assisted in the investigation by Cpl. Loring and Trooper R. W. Pace, the accident occurred as the westbound Freightliner collided with Roberts’ vehicle, which was parked on Howell County Road 1590 about 2 miles north of Route DD. The area is north of Highway 60 between Mountain View... A MSHP spokesman reportedly told the West Plains Daily Quill that “the Freightliner appeared to be a UPS truck and the GMC looked to be a company truck belonging to Larson John Deere. ” The Troop G spokesman said “the complete report showed the GMC was towing a 16-foot bumper trailer loaded with a road grader, and Roberts was on the trailer for unspecified reasons when the Freightliner struck it,” according to the Quill. The crash report indicates the Freightliner sustained “extensive” damage while the GMC had none. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol online crash report, Benton was traveling northbound on J Highway in a 2001 Ford Expedition when she rear-ended a 2003 Ford F-150 pickup driven by 20-year-old Austin Butler of Tecumseh. The F-150 sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene. Source: www.ozarkcountytimes.com
