It is entirely possible the Ford F-150 order guide is only a word or two shy of the Oxford English Dictionary. Since then, there have been a dozen generations, including the new-for-2015 model. In 2009, Ford totally revamped the F-150. When introduced, it was available with the three cab types (regular, SuperCab and SuperCrew), three box lengths (5-feet-5, 6-feet-5 and 8-feet), three wheelbases (3,200-mm, 3,378-mm and 3,683-mm) and two... Then there were the two- and four-wheel-drive versions and no fewer than eight different trim variations – XL, STX, XLT, FX4, Lariat, Lariat King Ranch, Lariat Platinum and new SFE (superior fuel economy) models. Over the years, there have also been some specials like the Harley-Davidson model. Beneath the bright work, the F-150 earned a new hydroformed, fully-boxed frame that was 45 kilograms lighter, yet 10% stiffer. Source: driving.ca
