Enjoy the comfort and convenience of a pre-warmed or pre-cooled vehicle. This handy Ford system can start/stop the engine from up to 300 ft. (distance may vary depending on location and environment). Includes two vehicle keys with an extra button for remote start. Dealer installation recommended. This kit gives you the same exact parts that would come on a truck that had factory installed remote start from Ford's assembly line!
NOTE: Available only for vehicles with power door locks. Remote Start Hood Switch Kit 19G366 required if your vehicle is not equipped with a factory-installed hood switch. (After installing several hundred of these kits at our dealership we have only ran across one truck, an "XL" model, that has required the hood switch which we sell for $17.00)
Vehicle Notes: Hood Switch Kit Required if vehicle not equipped. For Vehicles with Power Door Locks. (This item is made for use on North American Vehicles Only)
To verify if your Super Duty came equipped with the required hood switch, open your hood and look in the driver's side inner fender near the headlamp. You will be looking for a "plunger" style switch that is encased in a black rubber boot that would make contact with your hood when closed.
We provide complete installation instructions. Though we do recommend dealer installation for two reasons...
1) After installation your Super Duty will need it's Smart Junction Box "enabled" (flashed/programmed) to recognize the newly installed remote start kit. This must be done at any Ford or Lincoln dealership. Price varies from dealership to dealership for this service. We charge $50.00 here at Fairway Ford.
AND
2) The new 4-button keys will need to be cut and programmed to your vehicle.
