Dust storm near Prosser caused five-vehicle pileup - Yakima Herald-Republic
-- Blowing dust and driving too fast for the conditions are being blamed for a five-vehicle pileup last evening on State Route 221 south of Prosser, the second such accident in the same area. At about 5:26 on County Well Road 9 miles south of Prosser, a 2003 Infiniti vehicle driven by Jonathan Vega, 17, of Plymouth, and a tractor-trailer driven by Stephen Nichols, 48, of Perry, Utah, both had both stopped northbound on the road due to... They were struck from behind by Seth Shinn, 28, of Kennewick, whose 1988 Ford pickup was then hit from behind by a fourth vehicle followed by a fifth, according to the Washington State Patrol.
