2015 Ford F-150: The best yet? - Portland Tribune

Ford took a huge risk with the totally redesigned 2015 F-150 full-truck pickup. As everyone interested in trucks knows, much of the new body is aluminum instead of steel. This allowed Ford to trim up to 700 pounds off the F-150 and improve mileage, something getting more important as U. S. fuel economy standards are increases. But Ford also did something to help potential buyers overcome such qualms it made the F-150 better than ever before, and better than just about every other full-size road truck on the road today. The new F-150 may look pretty much the same on the outside, but practically everything is new under the aluminum skin, including a stronger steel frame, an optional 2. 7-liter turbocharged V6 engine, and a redesigned interior that's more... But so what we're auto writers, not lumber jacks, so we're interested in seeing everything that manufacturers dream up. Besides, Ford still sells the entry level, two-wheel drive, regular cab XL model for those who just want the basics. Source: portlandtribune.com
