On Tuesday, police identified a man accused of attacking a woman during a carjacking in downtown Mobile on Sunday night. Detectives said 45-year-old Tony Lavell Witherspoon was last seen driving the stolen vehicle, a red 2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac with Alabama tag No. 6034AN8.
